The Livestock Show is always held the 2nd Saturday in August, this year that’s August 11. The location is Bottomley’s Evergreens and Farm, 10278 Elk Creek Pkwy, Elk Creek, VA 24326. Check out the schedule for the Livestock Show. This year’s Fair will feature exhibits by local agricultural producer groups, service organizations, and retailers. We’ll also be judging youth and adult entries in vegetables, baked goods, and canned goods.  We are keeping the exhibit list small this year while we learn how to organize everything. We plan to have the full slate of exhibits next year and a team of volunteers in place to help enter and display all the entries. You can help us this year by being part of the Fair and entering! Here is all the information you’ll need.  The Exhibit Book lists all the categories (and there are LOTS of them) and the basics about how ribbons are awarded.   The University of Kentucky produced this great publication about exhibiting vegetables.  And finally, check out the adult entry form and the youth entry form.  Exhibitors should download, print and carefully fill out their Entry Form and bring with their exhibit(s) to registration. Please print or type legibly. It will be great if you fill out the forms ahead of time, but we will also have forms available at registration. You may bring your exhibits to Bottomley’s Thursday, August 9 from 5-8pm and Friday, August 10 from 10 am to 3 pm. Pick-up date for Exhibits will be Sunday, August 12th, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. For Exhibit Questions or Additional Information Contact: Michelle Pridgen– Exhibits Coordinator 276-768-0597 or [email protected] See you at the Fair!
