Hi Friends, as the end of the season approaches, we are looking forward to next season and we need your input! Please take this 2 question survey about replacing the regular 9am-1pm Market with one from 3-7pm ONLY on the 4th Friday of the month. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe3ujZf_xA4ARIWTAXPEA97wRbEq0ivedO2jrlNBaIWfKwRlQ/viewform?usp=dialog Thanks in advance for taking the time to give us your opinion.
Just a reminder, thanks to a grant to Virginia Fresh Match from the Wellspring Foundation, we are able to offer $10 of coupons for fresh fruits and vegetables to anyone showing their WIC, Medicare or Farmers Market Fresh cards at the Manger booth. This is in addition to the match for SNAP users.
October at the Market kicks off with Squashtober and a Cooking Day featuring all things squash with guest chefs Loren Webster and Dean McRae. Free samples and recipes!
October 10 is Customer Appreciation Day and our last regular Market. Stop by for a piece of cake.
Don’t worry, the Online Market is open for orders and the Locally Grown platform that we have used forever has been updated and is mobile friendly! Give it a try.
We’ll have 3 Winter Markets this year. They all run from 11 am to 2 pm. Markets are Friday November 21 and 28 and Saturday December 6. Shop local for all your holiday needs the 21st. Enjoy the Chili Cook off November 28 and enjoy the Market and Town events the 6th. That’s also the annual Free Market Gift Shop at the Gate Center from 11am to 3pm.
Yes, a later market time would be great and fun under strung lights! I’m a chemo recipient for the past year, so early doesn’t work for me.
