The Town of Independence is holding 2 meetings in March that will concern the development of Town Park and Downtown Independence as a whole.
The first will be March 5th at 6pm in the Independence Fire Hall on Davis street. This is an informational meeting and the update of the 2013 master plan developed by the ARC will be discussed. A second item is the plan to add Christmas lights to Downtown similar to the beautiful display in Sparta.
The second will be held March 15 at 5:45 and is a public hearing on the Community Block Grant that includes the development of Town Park. And just a reminder, if you haven’t sent in your letter of support and would like do so, they are due by the end of March.
