You are cordially invited to the 1st Annual Independence Farmers Market Ice Cream Social , Sunday September 10, 2017 from 3-5pm. The Ice Cream Social will be held on Courthouse Street which will be closed to traffic during the event. Admission is $10 and includes ice cream, homemade desserts and a wide array of toppings. Big Ridge Old Time Band will provide music. All proceeds will benefit the Independence Farmers Market. Tickets are available now during the Friday Market from 9am to 1pm, the Wednesday evening Online Market pickup from 4-6pm and can also be ordered online. Tickets will also be available at the event. Food will be served from the Grayson LandCare office which will also provide a dry location in case of rain. The Ice Cream Social is the first of a series of fundraising events to benefit the Farmers Market for the upcoming 2018 season.
