April 5-Pre-season Vendor Meeting and potluck, 1908 Courthouse auditorium, 11am-2pm
May 3- Grand Opening, Mother’s Day Craft Fair and Fiber Day
May 24-IFM KIDS BUCKS begin. $5 of Kids Bucks to the 1st 25 kids age 12 and under.
June 7-1st Friday Cooking Days are back! Chef Jen cooks up local products. Free samples.
June 21-Kids Day. Free and safe activities for kids of all ages. $10 of Healthy Kids Bucks to the first 30 Kids to Ms. Andrea’s tent.
Tuesday, July 4- Town of Independence Parade and festivities
July 5-1st Friday Cooking Day Chef Jen cooks local products. Free samples, donations appreciated.
July 12-Wellness Day. Join area health professionals for free information on staying healthy. $10 of Healthy Kids Bucks to the first 30 Kids to Ms. Andrea’s tent.
July 19- Berry Festival. Berry Dessert Contest and Sorbet fundraiser. Sorbet will be available by the frozen pint as a fund raiser for the Market.
August 2-Tomato Day–Free Tomato tasting, Salsa Contest and the Monster Tomato contest. $10 of Healthy Kids Bucks to the first 30 Kids to Ms. Andrea’s tent.
Friday, August 9, noon-8pm, Saturday August 10, 9 am -3pm – Grayson County Fair, Bottomley’s Evergreens, Elk Creek. Entries accepted Wednesday Aug 14 3-7pm
August 4-10 National Farmers Market Week.
August 16- Christmas in August Craft Fair. Support local artisans and shop local
September 13-Pepper Day-free pepper tasting
September 20-Apple Festival– Apple Pie contest, IFM Cider fundraiser and Fiber Day.
October 4- Squashtober and last Cooking Day. Chef Jen cooks all kinds of squash. Free samples, donations appreciated.
October 11-Last Market Day
November 29- 11am to 2pm, 1st Winter Market and Chili Cook-off. IFM Kids Bucks are back!
Saturday, December 7-2nd Winter Market, Town Christmas Parade and festivities. IFM Kids Bucks are back!
